The Douglas Bader Foundation is not a campaigning charity, however we do work with a group of disability charities called emPOWER, the Charities Consortium of Users of Prosthetics, Orthotics, Wheelchairs, Electronic Assistive Technology and Rehabilitation services, formed by the Limbess Association, which campaigns for a "National NHS LOOK" meeting Individual needs for Independence.

We are also a founding member of LIMB, a consortium of charities working with individuals with amputations, congenital limb loss and limb deficiencies. We meet four times a year to discuss how we can work together to improve the lives of individuals without one or more limbs.
The Associate Parliamentary Group on Limb Loss, both national and international, for the promotion within Parliament and Whitehall, of the provision of prosthetic and other rehabilitation services to all persons suffering limb loss in the UK and internationally. Roger Berry MP is leading a move to ensure closer contact between MPs from both Houses and all concerned with the rehabilitation of limbless persons in the United Kingdom and Overseas.
Organisations welcoming the new Group include the Limbless Association, BLESMA, STEPS, REACH, Douglas Bader Foundation, British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine, British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists, Association of British Health-Care Industries, British Healthcare Trades Association, NHS Purchasing and Supplies Agency and the numerous Contractors and their Employees with whom they collaborate to ensure and sustain these vital innovative services.
