Background

PACE regularly deals with clients as a result of limb injuries, congenital limb deficiency and foot complications, including those resulting from trauma, diabetes, amputations, polio and other neurological conditions.

Based in South Manchester , the clinic has access to a wide team of experienced health professionals and is leading the way in a multi disciplinary approach towards mobility and ambulation rehab.

PACE provides detailed multi-disciplinary assessments, as well as equipment such as orthoses, prostheses and other mobility devices with associated specialist therapy.

The team at PACE believe strongly in the benefits of early intervention and co-operate with like-minded insurance and benefit agencies to provide prompt treatment strategies.

Through PACE clients can access a full spectrum of rehabilitation services including physiotherapy, specialist radiography, scanning & laboratory services as well as vascular, plastic and orthopaedic surgery.

The prosthetic and orthotic teams at Pace are highly experienced and apart from prosthetists-orthotists, include a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, physiotherapists, counsellors and other health professionals. 

PACE believes in not only providing their clients with the most appropriate equipment for their lifestyle, but giving them the training and advice on how to use that equipment.

The prosthetics and orthotics service is much personalised and focussed on individual requirements.

PACE is an independent clinic, but does maintain strong links with leading equipment manufacturers to ensure it has early access to any technical developments, relevant training and service.

PACE also works with partners to provide specialised elements of the manufacturing process, maintaining full control over the design and manufacturing of the device to ensure high, consistent quality.

Medico-legal reports

As a multi-disciplinary group of rehabilitation professionals the PACE team provides reports for use by the legal professions.  This includes comprehensive documents for use in the Courts as well as immediate needs assessments in accordance with the Rehabilitation Code.

Reports will be tailored to instructions but will typically include an opinion and prognosis as well as cost estimates for rehabilitation treatment and associated equipmen.

All documentation intended for the Courts fulfils the requirements of the Civil Procedure Rules Part 35 and is compiled by clinical professionals who undertake regular witness training.
