Hospital, specialises in the holistic rehabilitation of patients following limb loss, mainly as a result of trauma.
Other work includes running a graduate recruitment and development programme for Blatchfords, in addition to providing a support function at their NHS Service Centres.
His previous experience has included appointments as Prosthetic Manager at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London and Research Prosthetist at Blatchfords Research and Development Unit,

Mr Richard Nieveen was on the ISPO Executive Committee for a period of six years, in addition a member of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Board of The Health Professions Council (HPC), where he also chaired the Registration Sub Committee. Other posts include member of Education Committee of The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists.
Specialist Civilian Prosthetic Advisor to the Medical Defence Rehabilitation Unit, Headley Court, Epsom.
Most of his research including publications, presentations and workshops (internationally), have been on subjects relating to prosthetic socket design.
