Manual for below-knee (trans-tibial) amputees

Alvin L. Muilenburg, CPO and A. Bennett Wilson, jr., have written a Manual for below-knee (trans-tibial) amputees. The objective behind this manual was to provide information for "below - knee" amputees including those amputees who have had Syme's amputation.

This manual was written for an American audience so some of the terminology will be different and there will also be differences in the clinical practice, but it is well worth reading to give you a better understand of the fitting and maintenance of the prosthesis. You can read or download thia maual from the oandp.com website at: http://www.oandp.com/resources/patientinfo/manuals/bkindex.htm The manual is published on the Web by Dankmeyer, Inc. with the authors' permission.
